I started ClearDebt in 2002 because I’m passionate about helping people build stable, secure households for themselves and their whānau. Together we get your bills under control, pay down debt and work towards your savings and financial goals — and keep it that way.

Since 2002, ClearDebt has helped thousands of individuals and families across Aotearoa get their bills paid on time, every time.

The advice and services I provide

ClearDebt provides general budgeting advice only, not personalised financial advice. We do not provide legal, accounting, tax or investment advice, and we do not recommend or sell financial products.

Fees and costs

It’s free to join and there’s no minimum contract. You pay a regular account fee from $15 per week.

Conflicts of interest & commissions

We have no conflicts of interest and receive no commissions. We do not recommend or sell third-party financial products, and ClearDebt is independently owned and operated.

Our duties to you

We aim to treat everyone with kindness, respect, honesty and without judgment. We’ll always explain things clearly and be upfront with you. If ClearDebt isn’t the right fit for your situation, we’ll tell you — and where we can, point you to someone who can help.

If something goes wrong

Please email info@cleardebt.co.nz and tell us what happened and how we can put it right. We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and respond within 20 working days.

Our dispute resolution scheme

If we can’t resolve it, you can contact Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL), a free, independent Financial Ombudsman Service.
